About Pushkar Tour Package
Pushkar is a small town located in Ajmer District of Indian state Rajasthan. The most sacred town in Rajasthan is attached with ample of religious beliefs and known for its old lakes and legendary temples. The city derives its literal meaning from the Sanskrit word 'Pushkar', which means blue lotus flower. Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India, strategically located on the banks of Pushkar Lake. It is said that Lord Brahma performed Tapasysa here for thousands of years to have a glimpse of Lord Visnu. Major attractions of Pushkar
The unique feature of Pushkar is presence of Jagatpita Brahma Temple; it is among the rare few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma all across the world. Situated on the banks of Pushkar Lake, the temple is about 2000 years old. Surprisingly, the records of its main structure dates back to 14th century. Pushkar Lake in Ajmer Rajasthan is termed as Thirth Raj or the king of all pilgrimage spots across India. The lake is one of the most sacred water bodies for the Hindus pilgrims. Tourist come here especially to take holy deep in lake as it is believed that the water can purify one from all the sins, troubles and ailments. This whole water reservoir is encircled by 52 ghats and 500 temples. As per our Hindu mythology it is said that this lake is outcome of fallen petals of Brahmas lotus when he was demolishing the demon Vajra Nabha.

Literally this temple was built in the 12th century but the temple was demolished during Mughal period by Emperor Aurangzeb. It was again rebuilt in the 18th century by Raja Sawai Man Singh II. This unique temple is dedicated to preserver of the universe called Lord Vishnu in Hindu Mythology. Lord Visnu took on Avtar to slay demons and kill all evil to preserve peace on the earth. He has taken nine such avtars, one of which is Vraha.
How to Reach Pushkar
Located just 14 kilometer from the Ajmer district of Rajasthan, Pushkar is well connected by road and railways to major cities of the country. Though Pushkar does not have any railway station, nearest train station is Ajmer Junction. Nearest airport is Sanganeer Airport Jaipur Rajasthan from where Pushkar is 127 Kms. Buses ply on regular basis from other major cities of the country.
