Char Dham Tirtha Purohit Haq Hukukdhari Mahapanchayat has said that the state government should not start the Char Dham Yatra before June 30 in any case. By sending a letter to CM and Tourism Secretary Dilip Javalkar, the Mahapanchayat has also demanded the cancellation of the Devasthanam Board.
The Mahapanchayat considered the government's decision to start the Char Dham Yatra from June 8 through video conference. Mahapanchayat President Krishnakant Kothiyal, General Ministers Harish Dimri, Laxminarayan, Jagmohan Uniyal, Jamuna Prasad, Rajeev Semwal, Durga Prasad Bhatt and other officials attended the video conference. At the same time, the administration is preparing to start the journey. Shells are being made for social distancing in Badrinath Dham
Every class landed in protest
General Secretary Harish Dimri said that the Mahapanchayat has clearly said that the journey should not start before June 30 in any case. The Mahapanchayat has asked whether the government has given passes to hotels, Dharamsala, priests, and other people associated with the yatra before starting the yatra. Have social arrangements, sanitization, etc. been arranged in other temple groups including the four dhams.
The Mahapanchayat says that the justification for starting the journey just before the monsoon is beyond comprehension. The corona infection will also reach Dhams. In such a situation, the life of the people associated with travel will also be in crisis along with the livelihood. The Mahapanchayat has also demanded an economic package for the priests and others. Mahapanchayat spokesperson Dr. Brijesh Sati says that every class is opposing the Char Dham Yatra.
