Puja Archana was held in Jammu on Friday on Jesth Purnima for the annual yatra of Shri Baba Amarnath. Vipul Pathak, Chief Executive Officer of the Board, Pooja Amarnath and Baba Buddha Amarnath Yatri Nyas President Pawan Kohli, General Secretary Sudarshan Khajuria, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, besides other members of the Board, at the Pooja Archana in the office of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, Talab Tilo, Jammu. Executive Chairman of Rajesh Gupta also participated. With the wish of ending the outbreak of Corona in the country including Jammu and Kashmir and wished for public welfare, everyone offered prayers in the Havan-Yang. This is the first time when preparations for the annual Baba Amarnath Yatra could not begin due to the bright conditions from Corona and both the routes of the Chandanwadi and Baltal are covered with snow.

Earlier years, this first puja was performed in Chandanbari but this is the first time the Jammu and Kashmir administration had to perform this puja in Jammu for the first time due to the corona epidemic. The Yatra has been started in a formal manner in the Board's office. At present, the Shrine Board has not taken any decision regarding the advance registration of the yatra. The board has set June 23 as the proposed date to start the journey. This time the trip is likely to be scheduled for a limited 15-day period. The decision to start the yatra may take place in the next few days at the Shrine Board meeting. There is a possibility that the yatra can be started from July 15 and the yatra will be concluded on Raksha Bandhan day i.e. August 3.

The board is also considering the issue that most of the devotees of the country can make arrangements to have the sight of the snow Shivling online or through electronic channels. Arrangements are also being made to register online.
